Microblading FAQs
Find clear and detailed answers to the most common questions about our techniques, healing processes, and preparatory care.
Microblading and Brow Micropigmentation
What is eyebrow microblading?
+
It is a semi-permanent makeup technique that implants pigment into the skin using fine superficial incisions mimicking natural hairs, achieving highly defined brows.
What is the difference between microblading, micropigmentation, and nanoblading?
+
Microblading uses a manual pen with micro-needles, micropigmentation uses an electric dermograph (powder effect), and nanoblading uses ultra-fine needles for superior hair-by-hair precision.
Which technique is best for oily skin?
+
Micropigmentation (shading) or hybrid techniques are highly recommended for oily skin, as microblading strokes can blur more rapidly.
How long does microblading last?
+
It generally lasts between 12 and 18 months depending on skin type, age, lifestyle, and sun exposure.
Will my eyebrows change to weird colors (red or blue) over time?
+
With our professional pigments and correct implantation depth, the pigment simply fades to a lighter shade over time without leaving unnatural residues.
Is the eyebrow design personalized?
+
Absolutely. Each design is adapted to the proportions of the face using mathematical measurements. We do not start the physical procedure until you are 100% satisfied with the pencil drawing.
Can I get microblading if I have an old tattoo?
+
It depends on the individual case. We evaluate whether the old work needs to be lightened first or if we can successfully cover it.
Lip Micropigmentation and Neutralization
What is dark lip neutralization?
+
It is a technique specifically designed to correct cool or dark tones (hyperpigmentation) in the lips, balancing the base color before applying the target shade.
Does lip micropigmentation increase physical volume?
+
Physically no (it's not dermal filler), but it does create a three-dimensional optical illusion of fuller, more projected lips by defining the border.
Can I get the lip procedure if I suffer from cold sores?
+
Yes, but you MUST start antiviral medication prescribed by your doctor a few days prior to prevent an outbreak triggered by needle stimulation.
Aftercare and Healing
Can I get my face wet, sweat, or apply makeup during healing?
+
No. Excessive moisture, heavy sweating (gym/saunas), direct sun, and makeup over the area must be avoided for at least 7-10 days to protect the pigment retention.
Is it normal for the color to look very dark and form scabs?
+
Completely normal. The color is highly intense the first few days before micro-scabbing occurs. It is CRUCIAL not to pick the scabs; let them fall naturally to avoid pulling out the pigment.
When and why do I need a touch-up?
+
The touch-up (at 30-45 days) is mandatory. It's used to lock in the color, fill any gaps where the pigment didn't heal perfectly in the first pass, and refine the shape.
