A few years ago, before opening the doors to AC Studio, I visited several beauty salons in Barcelona. I would sit in the waiting room and watch clients come and go in 30-minute intervals.
I watched technicians use plastic stencils to draw identical eyebrows on completely different faces. I watched them rush to glue on lashes, constantly checking the clock so the next girl could come in. It was the industrialization of beauty. A "fast food" aesthetic model where the client wasn't a unique canvas, but a ticket number.
One day, a girl walked out crying because they had given her a super thick, angular brow design that terribly hardened her delicate features. The technician simply told her: "It's the trend, honey."
That very afternoon, I decided I was never going to work like that. That was the day AC Studio was born in my mind.
The Concept of "Facial Architecture"
We didn't open this Studio to be a place where you just come to "glue on hair". We opened it to be a sanctuary of Facial Architecture.
What does this mean? It means we firmly believe in visagism. We believe that your bone structure, your eye shape, and your skin quality dictate what you need, not what Instagram dictates.
When you book an appointment with us, the standard procedure goes in the trash.
- We take our time: We don't watch the clock. If we need an hour just to design the perfect symmetry of your lips before we even start pigmenting, we take it.
- Haute Couture Materials: We don't cut corners. We use medical-grade adhesives, next-generation organic pigments that won't turn ashy gray, and patented technology like HydraFacial.
- Brutal honesty: If you come in asking for Mega Volume but your natural lashes are weak, we will tell you "No." We would rather lose a sale than ruin your ocular health.
More than a service, an experience
Opening our studio doors on Avenida Meridiana was not easy. It meant sleepless nights, fighting to get the best equipment, and designing a space where, the moment you walk through the door and smell the Studio's signature scent, you feel the city stress melt away.
Today, when I see my clients look in the mirror for the first time after a micropigmentation session and watch their eyes light up, I know all the effort was worth it.
